Expanding the ever-growing Triple Seven Kites range, we are proud to introduce the P.T. UDW – a downwind-oriented wing designed to unlock the full beauty of riding with the wind. Built to support everyone from first-time riders to seasoned wave enthusiasts, the P.T. UDW combines simplicity, control, and performance in one compact package. Compared to the P.T. Skin, the P.T. UDW features a slightly lower aspect ratio, resulting in smoother handling and a more forgiving ride. This balance makes it exceptionally easy to control, whether you are gliding into your first downwind run, carving powerful lines on a wave, or pushing close to the break where its short lines and single-skin canopy ensure an instant relaunch.
A shorter bar and a lightweight canopy guarantee effortless maneuverability and compact packing – the wing practically disappears when stashed away. The efficient low-end power and simple pumping system make takeoffs and transitions intuitive, giving beginners a quick path to progression, while experts will appreciate the wing’s steady control in dynamic conditions. With its short lines, quick relaunch, and fast pack-down design, the P.T. UDW is always ready for the next adventure. More than just a wing, it represents an invitation: to experience the joy of downwind riding and the purest side of the parawing sport – in the easiest way possible.
The P.T. UDW delivers exactly that.
After developing the P.T. Double Skin and the P.T. Skin, I felt it was time to create something truly dedicated to our downwind riders – a wing that meets their specific needs for easy stowing, quick redeployment, and effortless control on the water.
The P.T. UDW is designed to shine in a wide range of hands. It not only delivers the unique sensation of pure downwind riding, but also offers a super steady ride with an impressively responsive low-end pump. This combination makes it equally rewarding for dedicated wave chasers and for any rider who simply wants a stable, carefree, and confidence-inspiring experience.
I’m excited to see how you’ll make the most of it out there!
The P.T. UDW has been designed with simplicity and practicality at its core. Built to stow into the smallest possible package, it features shorter lines in greater number, giving the airfoil exceptional support. This design not only enhances control but also results in a remarkably efficient low-end pump—perfect for those light-wind days when you need that extra boost to get up on foil and onto the wave. Its low-aspect canopy adds another key advantage: outstanding stability while riding. At the same time, the carefully refined airfoil still provides just enough upwind ability to allow riders to enjoy smooth transitions between cruising downwind and heading back up for the next run. This balance makes the P.T. UDW a wing for everyone—from beginners looking for a forgiving, carefree ride, to wave riders seeking a compact, reliable companion for downwind freedom.
The P.T. UDW is built with a smaller aspect ratio, a design choice that unlocks several advantages tailored to downwind riding. Instead of worrying about wing tips diving, you can enjoy a super stable platform that lets you focus entirely on finding and linking the right bumps. This shape also delivers a highly reliable redeployment success rate—meaning that whenever you lose the pull of the wave, the wing will be back in action within moments, keeping your ride smooth and uninterrupted.
The P.T. UDW features a finely supported airfoil with ultra-short lines. This compact setup not only makes stowing quick and effortless, but also ensures exceptional aerodynamic efficiency. Thanks to a carefully engineered line layout, the wing delivers impressive low-end power, giving you that extra grunt when pumping out of the water and onto the foil.
The P.T. UDW bar is built from lightweight carbon with a foam-filled core, ensuring it floats when submerged. Thanks to the smaller aspect ratio of the wing, we were able to design a shorter bar that still delivers the signature Triple Seven handling and feel. Its design is simple yet highly efficient, featuring floating B and C lines for an obstacle-free grip. A dedicated front line lengthening system allows you to fine-tune positioning, ensuring the best control and comfort across all flying regimes.
As a premium product, the P.T. UDW is built with the same lightweight D10 material as the P.T. Skin. This reduces the canopy’s overall weight and gives the rider a feather-light feel, making the wing effortless to handle in any riding scenario. The canopy itself is a full single-skin design, created specifically for downwind riders who push the limits and sometimes get a little too close to the break. In those critical moments, the P.T. UDW offers a super-fast, reliable relaunch, keeping you confidently in the flow.
